The quintessential African instrument, the Zimbabwean Mbira is a thumb piano with a magical sound. Craftspeople make this instrument from recycled materials ranging from scraps of tin, wood from discarded crates, wire, and bottle caps. The metal is rusty, the varnished wood gouged, but none of this detracts from an instrument that mysteriously all musicians must own. Dimensions are approximately 5 1/2 by 8 by 1/2 inches, but due to the nature of the product, sizes will vary. Includes a basic instruction sheet.
